Chair Yoga
Our Chair Yoga sessions offer gentle yoga exercises to stretch, flex and strengthen the body which help to improve balance and co-ordination while sitting in a chair. These sessions are especially designed to offer mature students the benefits of yoga.
Exercises involve simple, light movements of the hands, legs, fingers and toes, combining movement with breath. Relaxing background music is played during the session. Each session is adapted to suit the different levels of mobility of each student. Exercises are suitable for those who still have active body movements. All exercises can be carried out whilst sitting although depending on the level of mobility some exercises may be done whilst standing.
